The coating should comply with the current environmental regulations and safe to use inside confined spaces. It should resist aggressive chemicals such as a mixture of hydrochloric and hydrofluoric acids and provide long-term protection. The Recommendation: Corro-Dur is the ideal choice for acid proof tank lining as per evaluation by the client since this product is 100 % solids, solvent-free and odorless formulation provides worker safety and the ability to seal cracks (because wet film thickness equal dry film thickness. The addition of Kevlar fibers on Corro-Dur 258 makes it a tough, durable, chemical resistant micro-fiber reinforced epoxy that adheres much better than other epoxies to wet, damp and underwater surfaces. Corro-Dur 255 is formulated with novalac epoxy, which makes it highly resistant to many acids of different concentrations. The surface was abrasive blasted and apply Corro-Dur 258 at a minimum dry film thickness of 250 microns while Corro-Dur 255 was applied as topcoat at a minimum of dry film thickness 300 microns.
