Fuel Gas Heat Exchanger 2” PSU Pipeline of a leading International Oil company in Peninsula Malaysia Project: Fuel Gas Heat Exchanger 2” PSU Pipeline Location: Offshore Terengganu, Malaysia Date of Application: October 2002 The Challenge: A 2” PSU pipeline of the fuel gas heat exchanger at Module 2 of Jerneh-A Compression Module exhibit pinhole and started leaking. They shut off the pipeline as there was a work over and they need to repair this portion prior to operation schedule. Solution: Corro-Dur 561 and Polymat was applied on the leaking portion and finally wrapped it with Corro-Wrap. Another coat of Corro-Dur 561 at 2000 microns over the Corro-Wrap and a steel clamp was installed. The application of the Corro-Dur /Corro-Wrap on hand tool cleaned surface was completed in just an hour. Result: This pipe rehabilitation system was found to be simple, economical and effective method of pipe repair that can be done in just a few hours.
