& were temporarily sealed with clamp & Class G cement.
The area of the riser from the splash Zone to app 5 meters above
were severely corroded due to the constant exposure to the moist
Salt laden atmosphere, Conventional repair & maintenance could
not be carried out due to the operating temperature of 90 deg.
C & the presence of moisture due to tidal & wave movement
which hinders in the application of conventional Patching system.
Requirement:
Ø
Repair
rectification to be carried out in a very short planned shut down
& not to exceed 24 hrs
Ø
System
Specified to be able to seal the leak & be able to withstand
an operating pressure of minimum 800 psi,
Ø
All corroded
areas to be rebuilt &
protected up to a depth of 1.5 meters from the lowest tide level
& to a total height of 7 meters
System
Specification:
1.
Leaks

Ø
Apply a coat of Corro-Dur 561 to even the surface
& to distribute the load & wrap with Corro-Wrap A water
activated wrapping composite system to the no of required wraps
to withstand 800 psi operating pressure
Ø
