Crude Oil Riser of a leading Malaysian oil company
CRUDE Oil risers on board Semarang Platform had a leak on the
risers & were temporarily sealed with clamp and Class G cement. The
area of the riser from the splash zone to app 5 meters above were severely
corroded due to the constant exposure to the moist Salt laden atmosphere
Apply
a coat of Corro-Dur 561 to even the surface and to distribute the load
Wrap
with Corro-Wrap A water activated wrapping composite system to the no of
required wraps to withstand 800 psi operating pressure
Finished
with 1 coat of Corro-Dur 258
The above
exercise was completed in 12 hours and allowed to cure for another 8 hours
before being put back into operation
